Biryani is comfort food. My mom is the biryani queen, she makes all different versions from chicken, mutton/goat, shrimp to chickpea/vegetarian, and they are all amazing. It is a simple dish, just rice and whatever masala you desire, baked together for a flavorful, satisfying meal. I like making it for my family, because as a busy mom, I don’t have to worry about a ton of side dishes, one and done, y’all.
